Summer Lookbook!

Hi everyone!

So I have a bit of a different post today and I have never done one like this before. As you've probably read from the title already, this is a summer lookbook and I am so excited. Just a quick disclaimer, I have bought all these myself and they haven't been sent to me and I have only done this as inspiration and things that I like to wear.

I have 5 different outfits to show you so let's jump right in!

Outfit 1

This outfit is definitely one of my favourites! This lovely, long, mint blazer style jacket is from George at Asda (£12) and it is lovely and lightweight. I have been wearing this constantly and it is one of my staple pieces for summer and it's a great transition jacket too into Autumn.

Now this dress is one of my all time favourite dresses! This lovely monochrome, striped dress is from Simply Be (£55) and it is a scuba material. This is a skater style dress and it's very flattering on. I find it really clinches in at the waist and it helps to make it more defined. Because the stripes are vertical at the bottom, it really flatters and slims me out a little. I like this dress because it does that (well for me anyway). I really struggle finding skater dresses that go to the knee because I don't like dresses that are too short for me but this is the perfect length for me and comes to just a little above the knee. It's also nice and thick and it's lovely also for the transition into Autumn.

These shoes are relatively new to me and I did get them on sale (Tesco- £11) but I think these look fabulous with this dress. They are not very high because recently, I am just not into buying high heels and these are super east to walk in. They look like a lovely ankle boot but they have the cut-outs at heel and toes and I love that about these. They also match the monochrome very well. But this dress would also look amazing with bright shoes to add more colour to the outfit. I also find that these shoes go wit so much and they look very classy but also edgy and that's really my style.

I have paired this dress with this beautiful, silver metal feather necklace which is from Primark (£3) and my beloved circle sunglasses also from Primark (£4). I have been wearing these sunglasses all the time this summer already and I think they flatter my face and with the black, I think they look great with this dress but they really go with anything and everything.

Outfit 2

This outfit, I feel, is kind of festival-esc. It's very casual but I feel it's fashionable and comfortable which is the main thing.

This playsuit is from George at Asda (£10) and it is very colourful and fun. It has a bird and floral print on it and they are all in different colours. The main background colour of it is this beautiful mint/aqua blue colour. It's a nice kind of jersey material which is really comfy and it has an elasticated waist which I like to roll a little but to make it look looser. The length of the bottom is nice, not too short but not too long. It's sleeveless, kind of a tank top style and it's very simple but pretty.

I've paired the playsuit with some Converse (£50). The photo's aren't really doing these justice but they are a silver holographic style and when it is sunny, they are sparkly and rainbow coloured, they are very special. And with all converse, these are very comfortable. The jacket is from George at Asda (£12) and I think this is very appropriate for summer and it will look great with many outfits.

I paired the playsuit with a flower crown and a fringe waist coat style throw-over. This flower crown is from Primark (£3) and it has white and pink tones in and it looks really pretty with the colours of the playsuit. The fringe waistcoat is a knitted style and has thin fringing at the bottom. It's very lightweight and will keep you cool.

Outfit 3

I'm not sure why but this reminds me of being a bit sporty. This is a very casual outfit and it's comfortable and will keep you cool for summer.

This very pretty shirt is from Simply Be (£32) and is sleeveless with a collar. It is slightly longer at the back and I have tucked it into the shorts. It's a very simple, monochrome shirt which I think will go with so much. These shorts are also from Simply Be (£25) and they are a light blue. They have a little bit of white distressing on them and a lace style crochet at the side. I really love how simple these are but they are very on trend. I prefer light denim for shorts because they look much more summer-y. I feel that these are also not too short and they look lovely with the shirt.

Again, I have also paired it with the same holographic Converse (£50) and they make the outfit very comfortable and casual.

I finished this outfit off with another flower crown. This one is from Primark (£4) and this one is much bigger than the other but it is also much more colourful. It has pinks and reds on this one and because the outfit as it is isn't very colourful, this adds the pop of colour which is very appropriate and it stands out. What's good about flower crowns is that they can be styled in so many ways so I say have fun with them and try them out.

Outfit 4

This outfit is also very casual and easy to wear.

Now, I got this dress from Simply Be quite a long time ago (£20 I think) and it is a little too short for me but because of the print, it's lovely. Even though it is a dark colour, the bird print adds a nice pop of colour and this dress is lovely and floaty. Its lightweight and pretty to wear.

A leather jacket is not very summer-y but this would be ideal for colder nights in the summer. The milkshake pink colour of it makes is very feminine and lovely for summer. It adds more colour to this dress and I love the biker style of it. This is a great jacket for Autumn and Winter. (Simply Be- £35 [on sale]).

I've put it with these shoes and these are very new to me. I picked these up from New Look on sale for £15 and I think they look great with this dress and they also add a bit of edge along with the jacket. They also add some height without being high and uncomfortable. These shoes also go with so much and I can't wait to wear these out more because from what I've worn of them already, they are very comfy.

Outfit 5

The last outfit is quite formal and sophisticated but it is lovely for summer.

I pinked up this top from George at Asda on sale for £8 and it's the cross over style front and it is a nice blush pink colour which I thought would wash out my pale skin tone but it looks really flattering. It is kind of a chiffon fabric so very light and floaty which I like. It's quite low cut but I like that. It also has elasticated ends at the end of the sleeves which are full sleeves but I roll them up to the elbow and the fabric falls over the elastic making it look better. The top has the crochet detail at the back which makes it a little more special and I really love it.
I got this necklace from Primark (£4) and it is one of my favourite necklaces and it has blue, purple and green tones in it and its geometrical kind of shapes and it packs a big statement and finishes the outfit off.

I put the blouse with these patterned trousers. They are from Simply Be (£35) and they are kind of a scuba material. They are a floral kind of print in purple, blues and whites and they really pack a punch. I have been into patterned trousers recently and I really love these ones. They are a great length on me and they fit perfectly. They have an elasticated waistband but they fit me perfectly and they are very comfy. They are also very flattering and I love them with this blouse.

You can probably tell I love holographic by now (I really, really love it) As these are silver, they match the tones in the trousers but they have the extra rainbow element which I really love. They are very classy and fun at the same time. The heel is not high and its nice and blocked which make them super easy to walk in. The strap on the toes is thick so again, makes them comfier. They have a buckle strap at the ankle which is covered by the trousers which make them super easy to walk in, secure and comfy. I love how fun these are as well as being elegant and classy at the same time. I picked up these beautiful shoes from Simply Be for £25.

Let me know what you think of the outfits! Also, let me know of you want one for other seasons too.
