THE MODERN DAY LEADER THAT I LOOK UP TO

"IF YOUR ACTIONS INSPIRE OTHERS TO DREAM MORE, LEARN MORE, DO MORE, AND BECOME MORE; YOU ARE A LEADER."

  • A famous quote that I have came across which defines the best about leadership.

The mainstream qualification to become a leader is generally known as a person that has the ability of motivating a group of people to act towards achieving a common goal or maybe by directing workers and colleagues with a strategy to meet the company's needs.

However, this modern day leader that I look up to for his amazing leadership traits and my platinum standards for human being in the 21st Century is the late Mr. Steve Jobs. A perfect leader that created his own path for others to follow. He was able to control his own destiny. A man that amazed the fellow human beings with his unpredictable monumental achievements.

Let's get to know more about the man that made the world a better place to live. The pioneer of microcomputer revolution's full name was Steven Paul Jobs. He was born on the 24th February 1955 in San Fransisco to two unmarried university students. Unfortunately, he was given up for adoption.

Initially Job was encouraged by his foster father to experiment with electronics in their garage which eventually led to a life long interest in electronics and design. A little that he knew where it would lead him in future.

Jobs is widely known by many as an American business magnate and investor. He was the Chairman, CEO and co-founder of " Apple Inc". How many of you knew that Jobs was the Chairman and majority Share Holder of "PIXAR" as he was a member of the Walt Disney Company's board of directors? Jobs didn't just stop there, he was also the Founder, Chairman and also the CEO of NeXT.

Initially his first computer job was at Atari computers, where he knew "Apple Inc" co-founder Steve Wozniak as the computer technician back in the 1971. After much struggles the first invention of Apple I computer by Wozniak happened in 1976 which they managed to be sold from Job's parents' garage.

At certain point of Job's life he even experimented with psychedelic drugs. This happened back in India as he travelled to gain spiritual experiences and he later commented that these counter-culture experiences were instrumental in giving him a wider perspective on life and his business.

In the year 2003, Jobs was diagnosed with a rare, much less aggressive pancreatic cancer. I personally think he took his health condition for granted in the initial stage then started to show more concern after experiencing much drastic changes. On 5th October 2011, Jobs died at his home surrounded by his loved ones around 3pm

Steve jobs was not just a man, an inventor, a business man or a teacher. This man created a whole new life to modern technology. He is the ultimate example of the evolution of mankind. He never settled for anything less.

Here are some of the leadership traits that was obviously noticeable on Steve Jobs ;
  • Courage
  • Ability to be forward thinking
  • Honest
  • Ability to inspire
  • Intelligence

Lastly, with the hope that I have tried my level best to get anyone yo understand the good attributes to emulate. Every good leader deserves to be respected, Steve Jobs will always be one among them.

YOU WILL BE MISSED...
