We woke up this morning to just about an inch of fluffy white snow. It is rumored that we may have a bit more tomorrow, although it is likely to turn to rain by afternoon. We'll enjoy it while it lasts. I won't let the Coop Girls know that more is coming - they aren't big of fans of snow or rain.
The oven is on and the delicious smell of mixed berry scones wafts into the living room where I type and enjoy my steaming hot mug of coffee. My first mug of the day. Oliver is by my side. He just fell back to sleep after giving my right arm and hand a full grooming. Jack is on one of the radiator covers watching out the front window for the elusive Felix, our feral cat friend.
Today we'll get a few things done around the house and I will prep what I can for tomorrow's meals so that I can avoid spending much time in the kitchen. It will be a quiet holiday at home, one full of delicious food, great conversation, and hearts full of gratitude.
Thank you for continuing to join me in this space. I am so grateful for you.
We wish you and your family a very merry Christmas!
