8 Eyed Spy

On this date in 1981, 8 Eyed Spy released their self-titled debut album. It contained the single, "Diddy Wah Diddy". The A side was studio recorded. The B side was live tracks. The New York City no wave band was fronted by Lydia Lunch, the same Lydia Lunch who fronted Teenage Jesus and The Jerks. They lasted through one single, one studio album, one live album and one cassette, all issued within a year. They were over by 1982.
